The Lighthouse in Krynica Morska is one of the most characteristic attractions of the Vistula Spit and a place with an interesting post-war history. The first lighthouse at this location was built at the end of the 19th century, in 1895, when Krynica Morska was still known as Kahlberg. It was meant to assist ships navigating the area of the Gulf of Gdańsk and the Vistula Lagoon, and its light was an important navigational point for shipping.

The most important fact concerns World War II. The former lighthouse was destroyed in 1945, and the current structure was built a few years later, in 1951. Today's lighthouse is 27 meters tall, and thanks to its location on a hill, its light is positioned much higher above sea level, which means the facility still serves an important navigational function.

During a stay on the Vistula Spit, it is worth visiting the lighthouse not only because of its history but also for the views. From its surroundings, you can feel the unique location of Krynica Morska between the Baltic Sea and the Vistula Lagoon. It is a good spot for walking, family sightseeing, and peaceful exploration of the region. By choosing an apartment in Krynica Morska or the surrounding area, you can easily combine beach time with discovering the most interesting places on the Vistula Spit.
